David R. Leopold – Home Inspector
A third generation native of Fairfield County and son of a Realtor, you could say my life has been all about Connecticut real estate! My career includes over 20 years of property management and home inspection experience in this area. I’m a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston and St. Luke’s School in New Canaan. I served two terms as president of the Coastal Connecticut Chapter of the American Society of Home Inspectors and remain an active volunteer on their Board of Directors. As an expert in condominium operations and community association reserve analysis, I obtained the PCAM designation: Professional Community Associations Manager from the Community Associations Institute. I hold a certification as a FEMA Field Inspector for presidentially declared disasters, am certified as a Wood Destroying Insect Registry Inspector by the New England Pest Management Association, and am certified for Deck Inspection and Evaluation by the North American Deck and Railing Association. My business has been awarded the Pillar To Post Pinnacle Award many times at our international conference as a Top 10 franchisee. My wife, Terri, and I have been married for 30 years and we have three children: Brad, Kim, and Bill and are grandparents to Kim’s children, Bailey and Rowan.

Michael S. Lovell – Home Inspector
Mike is an expert in residential construction and remodeling. He has 20 years of field experience including running a successful remodeling company, as well as graduating from The Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA with an AS degree in Building Construction Technology. He holds certifications from the National Association of Homebuilders as a Certified Graduate Remodeler; Certified Green Professional, and a Certified Aging in Place Specialist. Mike is also a Certified Building Analyst by the Building Performance Institute, an EPA Lead Safe Renovator, a certified Wood Destroying Insect Registry Inspector by the New England Pest Management Association, and is certified for Deck Inspection and Evaluation by the North American Deck and Railing Association. Mike has been married to Brooke for 15 years and they have a son, Colton, and daughter, Laura. He enjoys being a leader in the Cub Scouts / BSA, spending time with family and friends, and if time ever permits, finishing the renovation of his own home.

Chad P. Spalthoff – Home Inspector
Chad is an energetic Trumbull native whose involvement in his family’s health supply business taught him the value of hard work, perseverance, and a cheerful attitude from an early age. Following the successful sale of that business, Chad began his pursuit of a lifelong passion for all things residential building, and he became a sought-after craftsman specializing in framing, flooring, custom trim work, and cabinetry during his twenty plus year carpentry career. His hands-on knowledge of first quality construction methods and attention to detail are key assets as he inspects the wide variety of homes we encounter throughout Fairfield County. Chad has continued his training by attending the Pillar To Post Home Inspection school; becoming certified as a Wood Destroying Insect Registry Inspector by the New England Pest Management Association, and obtaining certification by the North American Deck and Railing Association for Deck Inspections and Evaluations. Chad is married to Becky and is the proud papa of their two daughters, twelve-year-old, Peyton, and five-year-old, Mia. The couple find themselves constantly on-the-go shuttling their girls to school and athletic pursuits. Chad is an avid fisherman and golfer, loves to spend time roughhousing with Archie, his English Bull Terrier, and working out in the yard. Not content to inspect all the time, Chad continues to use his skills by restoring their antique home in Trumbull.

Daniel M. Kamzik - Home Inspector
Dan is a Fairfield County native who graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Digital Media and Design. Despite his corporate training, Dan knew he wanted to work with his hands and choose to follow his heart by working remodeling and building homes throughout Fairfield County for a local builder. Dan brings his technical expertise, customer service skills, and a positive and friendly attitude to Pillar To Post and our clients have only good things to say about him. Dan is certified as a Wood Destroying Insect Registry Inspector by the New England Pest Management Association and is certified for Deck Inspection and Evaluation by the North American Deck and Railing Association. When he is not working, Dan enjoys spending time with his family, writing fiction, and playing guitar.

Robert P. Kneen – Vice President Of Customer Support
Bob has been in the business of providing first class customer service in Fairfield County for the past twenty-five years, and our customers and Realtors rave about his extra-mile performance on their behalf. He has both construction and remodeling experience as a business owner, is certified nationally and in Connecticut by the National Radon Proficiency Program for Residential Radon Measurement, and has trained in Advanced Fungal Data and Interpretation with EMSL Labs. Bob is also OSHA and RRP lead paint certified. Bob has been married to Liz since 1991 and has two beautiful children born in 2001 and 2003. When he is not working, Bob enjoys spending time with his family, exercise, and reading.

Kim Oshman – Customer Support Specialist
Kim’s outstanding customer service has been widely recognized ever since she began her career at her family’s antique auction business, Gallery on the Hill. In addition to developing a love for all things with age and character, Kim excelled as the primary client point of contact. She simultaneously managed 10 employees and created an online catalog for the business so that customers so see and purchase their wares on-line. After the family business wound down, Kim decided to transition to working for a major telecommunications company. It was there that she learned to coach new hires, and developed a program to enhance the company’s ability to hire disabled workers. Kim was chosen as one of only two customer service professionals to demonstrate customer service best practices to visiting state and other officials. Immediately prior to joining Pillar To Post, Kim lead an elite customer service team who planned exotic travel and learning experiences for baby boomers. Kim loves our customers, takes great pride in serving them well, and we and our customers are thrilled to be working with her. Kim is also a mom to two boys, Tom who attends American University, and Sam, who is in elementary school. Besides spending time with her children and her husband Adam, Kim loves to cook and browse old bookstores and consignment shops.

Cathy Castorina – Customer Support Specialist
Cathy has excelled in multiple customer support roles during her career. She has an extensive background where her responsibilities have included everything from office oversight to planning commencement ceremonies. Cathy has also been involved in the successful development and operation of several businesses within the trades and we are delighted to have her as part of our customer support staff. A lifelong Fairfield County resident, Cathy is married to Anthony and has two children Anthony and Gabriella. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, photography, and spending time with family and friends.

Tyler Burns – Field Support Specialist
Tyler grew up in Norwalk and has always made being honest and caring for other people his top priority. His father was a plumber and as Tyler visited his jobsites he gained an appreciation for homes and the process of constructing them. Since then Tyler has enhanced his skills in a variety of construction related areas and continues to love working with his hands. Most recently he was employed by a local wood and metal shop crafting items for use in various television productions.
In addition to working to fulfill our client’s environmental testing needs, Tyler is a licensed Home Inspector Intern, is certified as a Wood Destroying Insect Registry Inspector by the New England Pest Management Association and is certified in Deck Inspection and Evaluation by the North American Deck and Railing Association.
In his free time he enjoys playing and watching sports and is trying to become a decent golfer.
